Nokia XR Lab, the University of Málaga, and OWO have joined forces to bring a new dimension to live performance, an immersive theatre experience powered by virtual reality, haptic technology, and ultra-fast 5G connectivity. Audience members could enjoy the play from their seats or instantly teleport onto the stage using VR headsets, becoming part of the story alongside the actress. Remote viewers were also able to join the performance in real time, choosing their own viewpoint and perspective from anywhere in the world. To make the experience even more realistic, OWO haptic suits delivered physical sensations synchronized with the action on stag, allowing participants to truly feel the performance, not just watch it.
