Building a Primitive Winter Survival Shelter

The beginning of a primitive desert mountain resort, this shelter was built just in time for a snow storm. Clay-rich earth provided the perfect material to make adobe bricks. Juniper trees provided strong wood for the roof. A juniper bark provided insulation from the elements. The landscape also provides nutritious wild foods to eat, including fish and rabbits. Follow along as I make more shelters and learn to adapt to the different environments. An adventure I'd never forget.
