You can also add a thin layer of cork to the base to help get a nice, smooth finish when sanding. Having the spring loaded mechanism with the locking pin makes it convenient to change your sanding belts when needed. This is a great way to use up some of your scrap wood to create a really useful tool. It also makes a great gift for any craftsman! My friend, Jim Who introduced me to this a while back, and it's been a great addition to The Muz Shop. Thanks for watching! Here is a drawing from a viewer that I would like to share.
