Is it worth the extra effort to create a home you truly love? In this video, I'm making thoughtful changes to our vintage-inspired laundry room, restoring old things, choosing traditional details and making everyday objects that bring me pleasure to use. From repainting the ceiling in a colour that feels just right, to restoring an old wooden door that I hope will last another hundred years, each project is about taking the time to create something that feels right for our home. I've also made a peg bag from fabric I love, installed a traditional electrical conduit system to complement the room's character, and changed the colours on my needle-felted knitting bag to a softer, more muted palette. I love finding ways to combine vintage character, handmade details and thoughtful choices to create a home that feels personal. Whether it's restoring and reusing old materials, making something rather than buying it, or taking a little extra time to get the details right, I believe there's real pleasure in creating things we'll enjoy for years to come. This is about more than a laundry room renovation. It's about the satisfaction of making, restoring and caring for the things around us, and finding joy in the everyday. **Thank you for joining me here at Boundary Road.** I hope this inspires you to look at your own home and projects in a new way, and to enjoy the process of making them your own.
