This Abandoned Fadal CNC Was a Total Mystery… Until I Powered It On

Today I’m taking a huge gamble… I bought an old Fadal CNC milling machine sight unseen and I have absolutely no idea if it even runs. This machine has clearly been sitting for years, completely untouched, and this video documents the full “will it run” process from the moment it arrives in my shop. In this video, I power up this used Fadal CNC for the first time, check all the wiring, inspect the servo drives, spindle, control system, and try to bring this vintage machine back to life. If you’ve ever wondered what happens when you buy a CNC machine at auction, or you’re thinking about restoring an old industrial mill, this is the video for you. Whether you’re into machining, CNC repair, machine shop projects, metalworking, Fadal troubleshooting, or abandoned machine restorations, you’ll enjoy this one. Let’s find out together: Will this old CNC even run? 🔧 About This CNC Machine • Model: Fadal CNC Milling Machine • Condition: Unknown, bought sight unseen • Purchase source: Used equipment / auction • Goal: Bring an abandoned CNC mill back to life ⚙️ If You Enjoyed This Video Subscribe for more CNC projects, machine restorations, shop builds, tool reviews, and “will it run?” videos.
