The Metaverse was supposed to be the next era of the internet. However, it's turned out to be nothing more than a pipe dream of Silicon Valley. The classic over-promise and under-deliver that, honestly, Silicon Valley is becoming more known for. As someone who loves to see technological progress and tech businesses thrive, I am not a fan of tech companies selling us things and making consumers pay high prices for their half-baked ideas and products.
