I started by stripping the entire controller for a deep clean. Then had to replace multiple components on the motherboard, including both analog sliders and stickboxes. I also upgraded the broken Z button with a clicky, tactile switch. I finished the controller's refurbishment with a hand sleeved paracord cable and white buttons.
