The film is about a widower, Mr. Brown, who struggles to manage his seven unruly children, who have already driven away seventeen nannies. The mysterious Nanny McPhee then arrives, promising to teach the family various important lessons. As the children encounter her unique methods, they learn begin to learn empathy and cooperation.
