Changing doors with the /fill command should be easy right? - wrong. Does anyone know how to do it? Someone out there must know. Playing in JAVA in Minecraft on PC. @pixietwo • 4 years ago This is a genuine request for help - so if anyone knows how to change doors using the /fill command, I would be very grateful. @NitroxNova • 4 years ago its a struggle, I've run into this with double tall flowers as well. even running the commands in the same tick causes the doors to break. What I would do is place armor stands where you want the doors and use nametags to name according to their facing, such as "door_north" "door_west" ect. Then you can do /execute at @e[name="door_north"] run setblock ~ ~ ~ spruce_door[half=lower,facing=north] , and then /execute @e[name="door_north"] run setblock ~ ~1 ~ spruce_door[half=upper,facing=north] which will place doors at all the north_door armor stands. when you're done /kill @e[name="door_north"] @pixietwo • 4 years ago Wow! thanks for this very comprehensive solution and I will be trying it later - wish me luck. Trying to get this sorted has stopped me in my tracks as I really thought it would be a simple thing that I was missing. If the armor stands work I'd be amazed as they are not something I would ever have considered trying. Thanks again for your advice. ;) @Salted_Yeti • 8 months ago guys i ran in the exact same issue and tell me if i'm wrong but u can just put a cmd block with the lower half and then a chain one with the upper half. I personally got this: -1st cmd block, either repeating or normal : setblock -370 76 -257 minecraft:spruce_door[open=true] -2nd one, chain, conditional, always active : setblock -370 77 -257 minecraft:spruce_door[open=true,half=upper] It works pefectky fine for me, idk if it is related to new updates, but i hope it will for u as well! @michaelcherokee8906 • 1 year ago I ended up here because I have just been reminded the hard way that you cant easily replace doors, and ended up deleting 2,688 doors in various unique locations. @pixietwo • 1 year ago I'm sorry to hear that, that really sucks. At least you'll know for next time ;) Have you seen my /fill command video that might save you from making any further mistakes in future?
